  1. 1.The most important river in East Asia flows through China. The major river in China is The Huang He, which carries loess, or yellow-brown soil which makes the river yellow. Another major river in China is the Chang Jiang. It flows 3,400 miles, which makes it the largest river in Asia .This river flows throught gorges, or canyons, and broad plains. In China, they is a dam on Chang Jiang which is 607 feet high, and 104 miles wide. This dam will be the dam is largest dam in the world.

2.The way the major rivers in East Asia positively and negatively affect the region is the following. A positive way is that they are good for the people that live there. One negative way is that if there is to many, than there could possible be floodings in this region. Another positive way is that they provide fishing waters for the Chinese people. A third way that they are good is the way that the Chinese people use the river to water all there plants.

  2. East Asia has some of the most important rivers that flow through China; they begin in the Plateau of Tibet and then flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He called “yellow river” is northern China’s major river system. Its nick named then yellow river mainly because of its fertile, fine yellow soil called Loess. North China Plain is a major wheat growing area, regularly the fields are destroyed due to floods. It also has another great river called the Chang Jiang, which is Chinas longest river. China is constructing a major dam called the Three Gorges to prevent various flooding, it was completed in 2009, and also produces hydroelectric power.

The rivers of East Asia provide many positive things, such as quite fertile soil from the Huang He named the Yellow River. This soil from the deserts of Western China produce a great quantity of growing material that fuels major wheat growing areas. Some negative affects the rivers have on East Asia are that they will flood regularly and many people suffer loses, and loose land and crops. Also trading is affected because of the crops wiped out by the flooding.

  3. China is home to the most important rivers in the whole East Asia. The Huang He is the major river system in northern China; it is nicknamed the “yellow” due to its large amounts of loess, or yellow-brown soil, that is blown in from western China’s deserts. The river regularly floods, knocking out houses and killing many people; because of this the Chinese people named it “China’s Sorrow.” Another of china’s great rivers is the Chang Jiang, which is the longest of Asia’s rivers and it flows through the gorges. The Chang Jiang provides water for farming and helps grow rice and grains, it also serves as a trade route in which boats and ships can travel through. The Three Gorges Dam is being built to stop flooding and a supply of hydroelectric power, once all is finished it will form a lake that will remove families from their houses and it will fill large areas with water.
The rivers of East Asia will positively affect the area by supplying much water for fishing, drinking, washing clothes, and more. It will supply drinking water for animals and for fertilizing crops. Although it will a positive affect it will affect it negatively, ways like it will make people leave their homes and move elsewhere. It will leave some homeless and some looking for other land to live on. The population will grow and at the same time the land mass will be shrinking, so it could cause a bit of a problem, but not much.

  4. China is where in East Asia, the major and most important rivers flow. One of the most important rivers that flow through China is the Huang He, otherwise known as the yellow river. The other really important one is the Chang Jiang, also called the Yangtze River. The Chang Jiang River is the longest river in all of Asia, and for 3,400 miles does it flow. On the Chang Jiang, a huge dam is being constructed by the Chinese and being 607 feet tall, it will be the largest dam built in the world.

The rivers in East Asia positively affect the region in many ways. One of the many is that the rivers provide rich and fertile soil to grow wheat. Another way that they positively affect the region is that they are important trade routes. The most negative thing that the rivers bring is flooding. When the Three Gorges Dam will flood the land and force millions of people out of their homes.

  5. The two most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. These rivers, the Huang He and the Chang Jiang, have both negative and positive effects on China. The Huang He carries ton of fine, yellow-brown soil called loess. Besides making the North China Plain a major wheat-growing area, it regularly floods the land, destroying many homes and drowning people. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river and flows through many gorges, or canyons, and broad plains. This river provides water for a large farming area where more than half of China’s rice and other grains grow. These rivers also provide important trade routes for the people of this region.

These rivers have both positive and negative effects on this region. The positive sides of these two major rivers are they make the North China Plain a major wheat-growing area, provide water for other farming, and they create important trade routes. The negative sides of these two rivers are they regularly flood, destroy homes, and drown people. To stop the flooding, China constructed the Three Gorges Dam. Although it will stop the flooding, it will also force a million people from their homes and cover large areas with water.

  6. The most important rivers flow through China. They start at the Plateau of Tibet with the Huang He or the Yellow River. It is called the Yellow River because it carries a bunch of fine yellow soil called loess. The North China Plain is a major wheat growing area. Another great river in China is the Chang Jiang which is Asia’s longest river.

The Chang Jiang provides water for large farming areas where more than half of China rice and grains grow. The people of Asia are constructing a big dam to keep the flooding down in Asia. The Huang He is good for the region because it makes fine fertile soil called loess or yellow soil. When the dam is done it will force more than 1 million people out of their homes. The Huang he has flooded many towns in its past and also drowned many people.

  7. The most important rivers flow in East Asia flow through China. The Huang He (Yellow River) carries tons of fines, yellow-brown soil called loess. China also has another great river called the Chang Jiang which is Asia’s longest river. Chinese are constructing a dam on this river. This dam is to try to prevent and to supply a large amount of hydroelectric power. Also it will make people leave there homes because a lake will be created from this.

They will get more electric power from these rivers. The yellow river brings loess that blows in from the deserts. This will make The North China Plain a major wheat growing area. On the bad side it will cause many people to leave there homes because of the dam that is put on the Chang Jiang. Ocean ships can now travel more upriver, and barges carry goods even farther.

  8. The most important rivers in East Asia are the ones that flow through China. They begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. One of the rivers is; the Huang He, this river is called yellow because it carries tons of yellow- brown soil called loess. China also has a great river called the Change Jiang; the Change Jiang is Asia’s longest river this river flows for about 3,400 miles through gorges or canyons.

The major rivers give positive and negative affects to the region, the positive affects to this region are that the rivers help people by getting food and help them travel from place to place or from country to country. The negative affects to this region are that there are too many rivers and it could cause flooding through the whole city and even through lots of countries. Another positive way is that China can get there fish from the water and the water can be used as a use for plant so they can grow.

  9. The most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. They begin in Tibet and flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He is northern China’s major river it’s called yellow because of the color of the soil called loess blown in from the deserts in western China. Another major river is the Chang Jiang. This is the longest river and flows for about 3,400 miles through gorges, or canyons.
The East Asia’s major rivers positively and negatively affect the region because they often flood. The Huang He regularly floods the land, destroying homes and drowning many people. The rivers also positively affect the region because their soil makes a good place for growing crops. The Chang Jiang provides water for a large farming area where more than half of China’s rice and other grains grow. Ships can also travel far up this river.

  10. The most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. They start in the plateau of Tibet east to the Pacific Ocean. The Yellow River also known as Huang He is northern Chinas major river system. The river is called the “yellow” because it cares fine yellow-brown soil called loess that blows in from the desert. This region is a great place to grow wheat here because of its soil. The Huang He has regularly flooded the land. It has also destroyed homes and drowned many people. The Chang Jiang is another great river. It is the longest of Asia’s many rivers. It flows through gorges in to the city Shanghai. It provides water for farming. It is also an important trade route. The three gorges dam was finished built in 2009, it is 607 feet high and 1.4mi wide. When it was completed it made a lake forcing over a million people from their homes and cover cast areas with water.

One way it positively affects the land is that it can have better farmland and can grow more rice. A negatively affect is that it is forcing millions of people from their homes. Another positively affect is that it makes great farming and has soil that can make rich soil. A negatively affect is that there will be less land for cities to grow. In my opinion I would rather not have made construction with these waters.

  11. The most important rivers in this region flow through China. Theses rivers are the Yellow River and the Chang Jiang River. The yellow River is the most important river system. The Chang Jiang River is Asia longest river, and it flows for about 3,400 miles through gorges and broad plains! Gorges are canyons.

The rivers positively affect the region by providing water to drink from and bathe in. It also makes rich soil along the river where many plants can grow. The rivers can negatively affect the region by flooding and destroying homes and drowning many people.

  12. The major rivers of East Asia flow through China. They start in the plateau of Tibet and flow east toward the Pacific Ocean. The major river system is the Huang He, or Yellow river, it is called the Yellow River because it carries yellow soil called loess. When the rich soil is deposited, it created the perfect soil to grow wheat. The river has caused some devastating floods destroying homes, drowning people, and other terrible things. Asia’s longest river, Chang Jiang, has spectacular gorges. It helps more than 50% of all farming in the region for rice and other grains. It is also a good trade route for ships too. The Chinese are building a dam on the river. It will be the world’s largest dam too. It will make a lake that will drive millions of people out of their homes.

The rivers create great farming land for people to farm things like rice, wheat, and other grains. The rivers can also cause big floods and the farmland will be destroyed. People take a big risk living near the water but some think that it is worth it. Some of the rivers can be can for swimming if they really wanted to, but I don’t think they will want to swim there. These are some positive and negative effects rivers have on the region.

  13. The most important rivers in this area flow right through China. The mouths of these rivers start in the Plateau of Tibet and east to the Pacific Ocean. The main most major river in this area is the Huang He or the Yellow River. The reason they call it the Yellow River, is because it carries rich yellow-brown soil which is great for farming and growing a major crop grown on the North China Plain, wheat. Another great river in China is the Chang Jiang which is Asia’s longest river that flows 3,400 miles through gorges and broad plains.

The Huang He provides fine soil which is great for farming and they call it loess that blows in from deserts in western China. The Chang Jiang, which is the longest river in this area. This river carries water for farming areas that they grow rice and other grains. The Chang Jiang is also an important trade route for trading goods. Oceangoing ships can travel up river to carry goods even farther.

They also, if a dam is built, force a lot of people to move from their homes.
