There are three countries in this region that have continental climates; they are Northeastern China, the Northern part of the Korean Peninsula, and Northern Japan. Like us here in the USA there summers are warm, and there winters are cold. There winters also can be snowy in August the island is 70 degrees, and January is around 16 degrees. The rest of East Africa has a humid subtropical climate with their summers 74 degrees and there winters 63 degrees.
If I compared the climate we lived in to the wet climate they live in I would have to say it’s way different because are winters are colder and are summers can be the same as theirs but sometimes are summers can be warmer. They also have more rain than us and it’s a lot more humid there then here. There climate there is similar to Southeastern United States were its warmer all year long but were we live it’s all different because where we live it get really cold.
The northernmost island in Japan (Hokkaido) has an average temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit. In January it’s 16 degrees Fahrenheit. Most of the time it is snowy. The rest of East Asia has a humid subtropical climate. The July temperature in Hanoi is 74 degrees Fahrenheit. In January it is 63 degrees Fahrenheit. They have good rice growing climates.
In South Dakota, we have different climates all year round. In the winter it’s snowy and cold like the wet continental climates. In the summer it is very warm and sunny though. In Nov. to April they have lots of snow just like us. Our climates are quite alike also.
The Northeastern Japan is humid climates. That zone to make the year that is hot or cold. The summer is hot and the winter is very cold. The Hokkaido the north most island in August is 70 degrees. In January is 16 degrees.
The rest of the East Asia is humid subtropical. The temperature is similar to United States. The temperature is little warmer then the United States. The average in July is 74 degrees.
1.Northern China, the northern part of the Korean Peninsula, and northern Japan has humid continental climates. This zone has a range of different temperate in the year. As in SD, summers are warm and winters are cold. Some of the island in this region is covered be snow between November and April. The rest o f East Asia and the northern part of Southeast Asia have a humid subtropical climate.
2.There aren’t a lot of differences, but there are a lot of similarities in the climate where I live and the wet continental climate. Where I live, in the summer it is warm and in the winter it is cold like the wet continental climate. Our temperature in July averages more than there temperature, which is 74 F. The climate is good for growing rice in this wet continental climate, but in our climate you can’t grow rice because the summers are smaller than the winters.
Wet continental climates are split into two groups: humid continental and humid subtropical climates. Humid continental climates have warm summers, and cold winters. In Hokkaido, Japan, the average temperature in August is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. In January, the average is only 16 degrees Fahrenheit. Humid Subtropical climates-compared to southern U.S.- are more mild in the winter, and a bit warmer in the summer. In Hanoi, Vietnam, the average July temperature is 74 degrees Fahrenheit. In January, the average is 63 degrees Fahrenheit.
South Dakota’s summers are much like the humid continental climates. We have warm/hot summers, and cold winters. However, our summers can be much warmer than theirs, and the dead of winter here is usually colder than that of the humid continental climates. However, the humid subtropical climate is different in many ways. Our winters are mild, and our summers are much warmer. Overall, we have many different temperatures throughout the year like the humid continental, and unlike the humid subtropical.
North eastern Asia has a humid continental climate. The summers are warm here and the winters are cold. Snow often covers this area in the middle of the year. This zone is marked by great differences in temperature during the year. Hanoi in January has an average temperature of 63 degrees F which is a good temperature for growing rice.
A wet continental climate is somewhat like South Dakota but its warmer and colder depending on what the time of year it is. It’s less humid and more snow

The humid continental climate is very similar to the climate I live in. The humid continental climate has warm summers and cold winters. So does the climate I live in. The temperature in the summer ranges from 60 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in my climate, which is about the same as the humid continental climate. The winter in my climate ranges from -15 to 20 (on a good day) degrees Fahrenheit, which the humid subtropical has about the same as well. -Austin Clemen pd. 4

However there is not a lot of snow in April if any. In the time that it is winter though it can get much colder than 16 degrees and it is much colder than 63 degrees in January. So I think the summers are similar but the winters are not.
